The privileged location of this detached house was not well made use of, due to unnecessarily compartmentalized distribution, with a closed kitchen and the space for the dining and living room were very small. It was essential to demolish the partition that separated the rooms to transform it into a bright open-plan floor, where the impressive views are the focus.

To create a warmer and more prominent area, the kitchen has been defined by a hydraulic tiled floor with a fluid design using a combination of three different shades – white, light grey and sanguine – which come across as subtle and are a good combination with the oak parquet.

The kitchen island, together with the four integrated columns, configure a functional and pleasing space, which is complemented with a breakfast bar ideal for enjoying breakfast or snacks while cooking special food to share with your family and friends.

The lighting strategically located on the stair handrail and the curtain rods have been chosen to avoid the overbearing nature of the ceiling, giving off a warm pleasing light. In the living room, there is an Arco lamp, an Italian classic.

Another important part of this project was to furnish the rooms with items that complement the type of building and its aesthetics. For this reason, furniture with clean lines and a lot of storage capacity have been chosen. Materials like aluminium and earthy colours have been used to create the sensation of fluidity and lightness. The comfortable seats were chosen for their ergonomic design and functionality, covered with marine blue toned material.
